Technical requirements for email marketing (30k+ subscribers)?

How do those email marketing companies (eg: icontact.com, constantcontact.com) work from a technical standpoint? Do they need multiple servers to prevent messages from bouncing back from the receiving server? I manage my own email list of customers and have trouble emailing them through my own domain because the receiving server say’s we’ve sent too many emails to their domain.

Is there one that will monitor lets say a folder and when something in the folder has been modified, an email will be sent out to a group of emails? It doesn’t matter the language it’s in. Thanks guys!

I have this email address of a contact. How can I get him to do online chat with me?

I understand with new YAHOO, you can do online chats with any email address you have on list. Automatically, some of my current email contacts get logged online & I chat with them. However there is one particular contact I want to instantly chat with. What have I to do?

How to send email to a list without listing each person individually?

Posted by admin | Address Book & Calendar | Wednesday 30 September 2009 1:26 am

I’ve created three separate work lists and I’d like to send email to each list without having each individual addressee appear in the TO line. I’d like just to see: Group 123, Group 234, and Group 345. All my members have provided their emails to me, I just don’t want 50 emails to show up in the TO line. How can I do this?

How can I blast my 50,000 email list without being shut down by spamming?

I’ve been collecting names in my profession for years, but I’m not sure if the addresses are corrected and how the receivers will take my newsletter.

I’ve heard that a couple of spam complains and I’ll be shut down by my ISP.

Thanks in advance for your help.

What is the rule for a one-time email blast to previous customers?

Our company has an email list from an event we held last year. The email list was from people who registered online or via faxed form for the event, but we neglected to include an “opt-in” check box for future emails.

Are we allowed to send a one-time email blast out to those people (with opt-out information in the email) for the same event this year without being considered spammers?

Please provide any links to interstate emailing rules that you can cite. Thank you!

Is it possible to send an html email that contains a drop down menu rather than text links? Thanks?

Posted by admin | Programming & Design | Thursday 4 June 2009 4:09 am

The body of the html email has a list of various classes available and I want the recipient to be able to select one of the classes and then hit a submit button which will redirect them to the register page. The action is exactly the same as a text link. I’m trying to avoid 50 text links in the email — because that has a tendency to look ummm…really bad. Would appreciate any input and code. Many thanks!
