Is it possible for emails to be lost when emailing to another country?

Every time I try to email one of my friends from a different country, I don’t think it goes through because they never reply to my emails and when they email me they say nothing about any of the previous emails I sent them, like they never got them. If this is possible, which email servers are good to use when emailing to a different country and how can I prevent my emails from being lost again?? thanks!

If I block an email address, does the blocked person know that I have blocked their email address?

In other words, if I want to ’send a message’ (so to speak), to someone I dislike, without actually sending a message to that person, if I block their email address, will they know I blocked their address? Will they receive a ‘mailer daemon’ notice, or something that says I am not accepting emails from that email address? Or, will their email to me just get lost in the www ether?

Now getting Yahoo email script timing out?

I started having problems downloading attachments from Yahoo email just a few weeks ago. I have other accounts (qwest, gmail, comcast), and no other problems with them at this time. Running latest Camino (Firefox for Mac) on an older iMac.

Now I continually get script timeout messages — if I allow script to continue running, eventually gives me email.

What gives? Others having these problems?

How do i get this person to stop emailing me?

He’s like a 40 year old man and keeps asking me to look at pictures and stuff, which im not going to click on. How do i tell him politely to stop emailing me?

Yahoo advised to download/upgrade to IE 8 once I did everything was off, email, script errors, games, etc?

Once I upgraded to IE 8, it takes forever to get my email up and running, I get script errors (library not registered), on-line games don’t pop up, then I get add-on notices and when I check, add ons seem to be all there

I understand with new YAHOO, you can do online chats with any email address you have on list. Automatically, some of my current email contacts get logged online & I chat with them. However there is one particular contact I want to instantly chat with. What have I to do?
