I am a member of a student club at my university. We have started printing a newsletter, but we need some way of generating money to cover the cost of printing.

Right now I am emailing a bunch of local companies if they are interested in advertising in our newsletter. I just searched their emails online and used PR emails where available, but most of them are general info emails, so I don’t think its gonna help much.

Is there some database which can be searched to find advertising. I was thinking if some marketing agency would be able to help us, but I think they would charge us but we don’t have much money.

What should I do?

Internet marketing can get various tedious if you only rely on emails (although emailing messages about the event to anyone i know should be the first step). I really want to find a way to send this message out to as many people as possible. Any marketing genius out there who can help me with this? Thank you so much!

I am asked to send proposals of my marketing program, however, when I do so, I am showing them the entire idea behind my program? I don’t want companies to take my idea, dump me as a provider, and simply do it themselves? Should I send a non-disclosure with the program when emailing over to them?

Our company has an email list from an event we held last year. The email list was from people who registered online or via faxed form for the event, but we neglected to include an “opt-in” check box for future emails.

Are we allowed to send a one-time email blast out to those people (with opt-out information in the email) for the same event this year without being considered spammers?

I have used HTML emails to run my email campaigns is past but found that if i send the entire as one image and provide hyperlinks via image mapping, i could save a lot of time as well as do not need to fear of email template getting distorted at the recipient’s end.
